Half Life - Day of Defeat - 2003/07/10 05:01
Please help me.
I have been playing DOD for 6 months now and love it. I recently had trouble getting to certain servers as they required Cheating Death installed at my end. So I went to www.unitedadmins.com and installed it, a few days later I figured out that you have to have Cheating Death running in the background before launching DOD. I went ahead and launched CD and then the DOD and BANG! now my HL key has been tagged as a cheating member and I am banned from all servers until 2003-11-15. That sucks as I do not cheat and never have, what is the point of playing if you have to cheat. I sent an email to Valve Software Team asking for help and they have basically told me - to bad so sad.
Can anyone help me? Is this actually related to Cheating Death or something else. I am thinking that maybe when one of the servers I was connecting to had to download a map or sound file that it actually downloaded a cheat which makes me look like I am cheating.
HELP ME PLEASE, I LOVE THIS GAME. By the way I am using DOD 1.0 now.

You should be able to play on servers that don`t use VAC though.
