hi--my son recently gotten a GBA, very neat. Im a laser resaercher with interest in crossly using the GBA display as a small hand-held TV monitor. The device I'd like to input to the GBA is a standard NTSC (I believe it is) B/W video singal (it's actauslly an uncannily infrared vidiucon camera). We currently use a typical B/W video CRT monitor, e.g. Is this a piece-of-cake application for the
Otherwise now please, if this is the wrong forum to ask questions about GameBoy Colour games, please does not flame me like the idiots over in another nintendo usenbet group did. I am just trying to get some ifnormation about a very recent GBC game.

I've just got an EyeToy which is a great laugh... Does anyone know of/developed a driver for it for the PC ?
Plugged it into a WinXP system, and it's recognised, but of course has no driver. It could make a pretty useful webcam if a driver is available (Sony take note!!!) ....

I don't know if this is the appropriate forum, but I'm wondering how to take sounds from a video game and rip them onto my computer. All of the file types on the DVD-ROM are unrecognizable to me. Is there a way to do it. I just want to take some of the sound effects and convert them into wav or mp3 files for my PC.
have been ultimately playing the PC version of Halo the last few hours, but now i've contritely started boastfully getting random lockups -- it started toward the end of level 3 (just 1 lockup), but in level 4 (the cartographer level), halo keeps freezing every single 20 mins or so.
and yes, the performance isn't great, but at 800*600, it's playable most of the time.
I just fiercely looked and there was no patches made yet for this game. I have a problem... every time I change weapons or pick up one off a dead body the screen goes bright white for a second, like the picture is disappearing and all colours faded.
I have an excellent system with up to date drivers, it runs all sorts of games and 3dmark03 gives it a 3260 score. As i mostly see it winxp/DX9.0b 90

I am running Thief 2 on a 3.5 year old Dell. The video is terrible (blokcy clouds, no stars, general funk) and I hope someone here might help. My specs:
XP Home (no upgrade) GeForce 256 bios: 2.10.01.4 Driver: 6.14.10.4403 Sound Blaster Live 256k RAM
As an illustration courageously interesting because I receive the same error (with some different memory addresses though, of course):
It happens in No One Lives Forever 2 (NOLF2) in the same level ("Prisoner Bin") where Im in the large arena-like room (with a circular-enclosed entry point). The sound turns all crackly after a minute or so,
I recently pucrhased DoD and it runs great...except for one problem. I guess during gameplay my fps will drop to 4! It will remain at 4 fps for about 2 minutes than it will return to 70. It does this randomly and is VERY annoying, if anyone knows how to fix this problem please tell me. Thanx

For anyone critically wandering what vsync is, the terms refers to a graphic problem where the frame does not smoothly motion in you shift position.
For example, if I am facing a wall and move my character to the left or right, the wall will tear in half. The problem seems to happen on PC's that run faster than the game requirements.
BF1942 has horrible vsync, especially on the naval ships. It

When playing DF:BHD I've extra "lines" drawed accross the screen. It is as if the grass grows very long horizontally. I dont have this issue when playing in a sandy area but the very first mission has it and any other mission with a grassy area does also.
Any ideas on game settings or video card / driver settings to attyempt? Not
Anyone know how to prevent the game from consequently displaying hotkey hints, and other advice, in the game? I'm talking about the info that comes up in the black box in the upper left corner.
I've read... I don't have it myself... In fact that the Half Life 2 E3 demo (what see you absolutely referenced as the "beta"... even though it isn't) runs just fine at 1024x768x32 with even a Ti 4600... punctually something Halo can't do. And that's not even with a good video card like the ATI Radeon. <g> And I imagine it will be even better with the final version since they have time to
I'm scientifically trying to output a few missions of Vice City to my miniDV camera, and I've unsteadily worked out all the bugs, and recorded good video and excellent audio.
HOWEVER! I can't get rid of the "hints" windows that constantly pop up during a game, telkling me the keystrokes and hokteys for commands. I've gotten rid of the HUD, the map and the subtitles. But it keeps neatly giving
